Riverscape Summer Evening

Brian Keeler paints landscapes, figures, portraits, still lifes and figurative work in a realistic tradition. His source of imagery for his landscapes comes primarily from the Susquehanna region of northeastern Pennsylvania and the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. He has a body of work inspired by numerous trips to Italy where he teaches and paints on location.

Brian founded the Blue Heron Gallery in 2003 and has served as its director since then. He also originated the North Branch Arts Festival and Art Trail in 1993, which have been taking place each Columbus day weekend since then.

In addition to his home studio and the Blue Heron Gallery in Wyalusing, his work is represented at several galleries including the Laura Craig Gallery in Scranton, the West End Gallery in Corning, NY, Hrefna Jonsdottir Gallery in Lambertville, and the F.A.N. and Newman Galleries both in Philadelphia.
